THE ITCHY FEET PODCASTS - READY FOR YOUR EARS!
What we have here is a collection of Mixtapes.
Largely made by Itchy Feet Founder, Leo Bedford, these are about 1 hour long, and they tend to be themed.
If you read the description of each one, you'll get the picutre.
Amazingly, these little mixtapes have racked up over 100,000 downloads, so we're very proud of them!
So - if you click the download button, this will start an MP3 file downloading onto your computer. You can then save it, do with it what you please.
EPISODE 17 - SOUL SISTER
It's been a long time coming... but hopefully it's worth the wait.
For Episode 17 we've gone back to our roots. Itchy Feet Founder has dug out on hour of his favourite soul records, mixed them clumsily together, and put the results on the internet.
We've got old soul, new soul, remixed soul, happy soul, lazy soul and even romantic soul. Basically we got the soul.
Enjoy.
EPISODE 16 - PSYCHEDELIC GLOBAL ROCK & SOUL
Every now and again we ask one of our esteemed DJs to make a podcast for us. So, bearing that in mind, we are incredibly excited to put this one forward to you! Loving;ly crafted by one of our newer, and certainly most exotic DJ, Junior Otamon.
Hailing from Brazil, he has travelled via Scotland to the clubs of East London and ended up in our stable. He's got an amazingly varied collection, and he's big digging around in the dustry corners for us on this one.
Decribed by Junior as a mix from "The British garage rock band The Milkshakes, all the way through the Nigeria psychedelic afro -rock cos-ber-zam and French Serge Gainsborough to the Brazilian samba-soul singer Simon, this is certainly one of our more advanced podcasts.
Prepare to have your minds expanded, and let us know what you think...
EPISODE 15 - BREAK THE MOULD
This instalment is in two halves. The first bit is all about breaks. That means its all about the drums. Put together over 6 months, this one has got a mix of covers and remixes, as well as a little splash of latin.
We’ve got Nina Simone covering Aretha, we’ve got funk version of Hendrix, and we even open on a certain Beatles number.
Then half way through it slows way down, and has a more lounge vibe.
Anyway - as always, its all over the place and not very well mixed… but we love it.
EPISODE 14 - ROAD TRIP
Driving can be good or bad, but is seldom in between.
With the Summer coming, we've all got a lot of travelling on the horizon.
Therefore, we wanted to make a podcast specially for when you're on the move.
This is a random collection of tunes from the Itchy Feet founder, and DJ, Leo Bedford. Unlike most of the others, it isn't concentrated on one particular genre, so you can expect a little bit of everything.
Clicking the link below will download an .mp3 file, so you save it your machine, and have it on the go... where it's supposed to be!
EPISODE 13 - REGGAE IS FOR LIFE NOT JUST FOR CHRISTMAS
Its 23rd December 2013, and for the last 2 weeks, each and every radio station has been blasting out a never ending cacophony of mind melting Christmas Tunes. But what makes a great Christmas Record? Apparently a lot of people feel its the obligatory addition of the those ever present bells tapping away relentlessly like a metronome.
However, we feel different. Christmas is about being happy, being relaxed, being with friends and family, eating too much, and maybe a little bit of post-indulgence dancing. Bearing all this in mind, for us, the perfect music for Christmas has to be Reggae. Therefore, this year, our present to you is 40 minutes of our favourite Reggae and Ska. Compiled by Leo Bedford, it's the perfect soundtrack to the season.
EPISODE 12 - RELAX!
For regular listeners to the Itchy Feet Podcasts, you'll know they're usually about about getting you out of your chair... but this one is different.
We wanted to make a mix specifically to make you Relax! It's a mix of records both old and new, with nothing in common except that they'll help you unwind, lower your pulse and rest. So much of our msuic is made to the exact opposite, so hopefully this will help add some balance to our musical offering.
EPISODE 11 - SPRING ROLLS ON
This one's a mix of tunes jumping from genre to genre, but with a definite rootsy reggae vibe, combined with the usual remixes, edits, and Latin Big Beat. Top Shelf Material Only.
Inspired by the soon-to-be-arriving Summer of 2013, Leo made the mix with images of open air parties and festivals in mind. Its a little more dance-y than some, with only a few 'vintage' records thrown in at each end. Hope you like it, and be sure to let us know your thoughts at www.facebook.com/itchyfeetevents

EPISODE 10 - ROMP & STOMP
Itchy Feet is first and foremost a night about Rhythm & Blues. Its the music that we built the night around. Episode 2 (Jump JIve & Wail) was all about R&B, but since then, we've gotten distracted!
This podcast was put together by our friend and Itchy Feet DJ
Milo Burridge, and is all about R&B. Straight up. Its a great indication of what you might hear in the clubs... so give it a go!

EPISODE 9 - BEACH BREAK LIVE
For the weekend of June 14-17 2012, the guys at Beach Break Live festival have asked us to host a tent at their party!
This is obviously very exciting news, so we decided to make a festival / outdoors / beach / partytime themed podcast to celebrate it!
It's got all kind of stuff on it, a lot of it is quite modern, which you wouldn't hear at Itchy Feet parties, but hey - these podcasts are meant to be about all kinds of music, old or new, as long as its good.

EPISODE 8 - DIVAS
On January 20th 2012 Etta James died. This was a very sad day at Itchy Feet HQ, as her songs have shaken the walls at many a party of ours. So - to honour her memory we've compiled the 8th episode of the infamous Itchy Feet Podcasts, entitled ''DIVAS"
This has been made by our resdient DJ, Leo Bedford, who has put together a tape consisting of songs made by all our favouite Divas of the 50s - 70s.
It's a feast of female vocals. Songs both slow and fast, opened and closed by Etta James. We hope you enjoy it, and we hope even more that it wasn't the flo rida tune sampling Etta that finished her off!

EPISODE 7 - BEAUTY OF THE REMiX PART 2
So after the success of our first Remixes episode we've decided to put another little one together to celebrate our Carnival party in London.
Its only 30 mins long but the records are very good.
There is also a big nod to our headliners for the 2011 carnival party - BRASSROOTS!

EPISODE 6 - DIRTY SISTER PART 2
After the enormous success of Boom! Volume 1, our favourite northern resident DJ Ben Echo made us another to keep you all hoppin' and boppin' till your next instalment from at our Itchy Feet nights.
More to come from Ben very soon, until then- get your paws into this felines...

EPISODE 5 - AGOGO CARNIVAL
A couple of years back I got a cover record of Hit the Road Jack by Mo' Horizons. Ever since then I've been midly obsessed with Brazilian big beat, as well as the general covers and remixes coming out of South America.
Unfortunately, it's not very 'Itchy Feet' music, so we don't play it at the gigs, but you definitely need to hear it!
It also happens to be carnival season over in Brazil at the moment, so... for your listening pleasure I've put together a little complication of my favourite tunes. Wierdly, of the 20 or so records on it, 18 of them are all from Agogo Records, the label which Mo Horizons, and loads of other great artists are signed to.

EPISODE 4 - ITCHY FEET'S DIRTY SISTER
Every now and again our DJs come accross the odd modern record they believe deserves some air time. The result is a new style of DJing to emerge from under the Itchy Feet banner. Itchy Feet's Dirty Sister plays a mix of remixes, mash ups, electroswing and big beat party tunes.
However, they never appear at the Itchy Feet nights. So - to hear them, either keep your eyes peeled on the wesbite for bookings, or for now, enjoy the podcast which our Northern Resident Ben Echo has made especially for you to showcase the sounds of Itchy Feet's dirty sister.

EPISODE 3 - THE BEAUTY OF THE REMIX
The most popular installment of the Itchy Feet Podcasts moves towards more modern music. One of the things the DJs pride themselves on is their ability to dig out the best remixes and covers of tunes.
This podcast is a collection of said remixes, which spans across a bunch of genres, with old and new records. Some of them are slow and relaxed, some of them aren't. Hopefully there are records that everyone can enjoy, and maybe open your ears to a new genre of music. Enjoy!

EPISODE 2 - TOP 20 JIVING BANGERS
This episode is much more to the style of the Itchy Feet gigs. Its basically a top 20 of all the big rhythm & blues and soul bangers. Anyone who doens't know what R&B is, needs this in their lives. Anyone who does, already knows what we're talking about.
So, if you've ever wanted a bit of Itchy Feet in your own house. Now is your chance.

EPISODE 1 - TAKE IT TO THE PARK
This is an odd combination of tunes which Itchy Feet resident Leo Bedford was listening to at the beginning of the summer 2010.
In the spirit of sharing he put them all together with the idea that you could take it to the park, listen to it on the train, or just have it in the background at work. They're not paritcularly old, or new, or dancey. Just a bunch of nice tunes
